Planes, automobiles and trains
Took the 6 am flight on Monday morning to get to New York - which means, get up at 3:30, leave the house at 4:30 to arrive at airport at 5. Heading to Mamaroneck - exit LGA, pick up bag and then wait 20 minutes for freakin' Carmel Car (even though I have a reservation). Head to our corporate headquarters on E. 61st, drop bag and walk as fast as humanly possible to Grand Central. Ticket to Mamaroneck, grab a copy of the New Yorker and hit the train. Meet colleague, shoot the shit, plan strategy, lunch with prospect, close nothing, head back to train station, back to New York. Is this really worth it? Am I saving lives here? Am I doing anything other than supporting the transportation economy? Oy. Vey.
