Post-Denver

Just got home from a four-day in Denver. This trip, in particular, highlighted the fact that there are an awful lot of MORONS who refuse to TURN OFF THEIR FREAKIN' PHONES IN FLIGHT!! This happens in first class, in business class, in coach - and it drives me CRAZY!!

There is a real reason these devices must be turned off - not just to placed in airplane mode. According to airspacemag.com, the reason that all devices must be turned off is that all devices emit radio waves. Airplane navigation and flight control equipment are engineered to detect even the weakest of waves, and there is concern (though no proof one way or the other) that these devices might interfere with this equipment.

More to the point, however, is WHO THE HELL DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE?? Like - you really can't turn your phone off for the space of two hours? Like - are you the freakin' leader of the free world?!?! You sure don't look like President Obama to me!!!! I have to follow the rules - YOU FOLLOW THEM TOO!!
